Register interest in SYP* — a prototype next-generation SYP automatic fluid sampler, currently in development. The target specification includes Starlink satellite connectivity for real-time data transfer and remote configuration — ideal for event-triggered sampling through atmospheric rivers, ephemeral recharge events and more.
The SYP* prototype targets Starlink integration so that any unit with sky visibility becomes a connected node in a distributed environmental sensing network. The development specification includes remote reading and configuration via our data portal — adjust sampling schedules, retrieve sample logs and sensor data, and monitor status via satellite in real time. The vision: deploy across catchments, springs, wetlands and coastlines, and build a live picture of your system as it responds to events.
SYP was developed for autonomous water sampling in harsh cave environments. Now being deployed in remote watersheds worldwide — from alpine catchments to coastal karst — SYP* is a prototype that extends the proven Mark III platform with Starlink satellite telemetry, targeting true unattended operation at any site with sky visibility. Final specifications may evolve based on field testing.
